Where were you born?

I was born in Charlotte, NC, it is a major city and commercial hub in North Carolina, also known for the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The estimated population is 859,035.

Tell us about your family.

I am married to Erica Nelson, we have two beautiful children, our son Tyler and Avery our daughter.

What are your hobbies?

I prefer to be outdoors, I enjoy fishing, hunting, and golf when I can, it’s fun and good exercise being outside.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

My wife and I both work for Hughes Supply Statesville, although we did not meet here.

What’s one thing you couldn’t do your job without?

Training, there are so many new products and techniques, I like to stay abreast of what’s happening in our industry.

Besides your job, what are you really good at?

I have been told that I’m a good mentor, I enjoy helping others via teaching, coaching or leading a team.

What are you doing when not providing great service at Hughes Supply Statesville?

I’m at the lake as much as possible, working around our home or in the woods hunting.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever given or received?

Measure twice, cut once! It’s easier to take an extra step to get it done right, that trying to fix a mistake because of being in a hurry.
