Where were you born?
I was born in the city of Union, it is the county seat of Union County, South Carolina. Our population averages around 8,500.
Tell us about your family.
I am married to Crystal, we have two adult children, both are married with kids. We are proud grandparents of two granddaughters and one grandson.
What are your hobbies?
I love beach trips with our family and spending time with my loved ones.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have proudly served our Hughes Supply customers for 27 years!
What is the most inspiring part of your job?
Taking care of my customers, making sure their materials are correct and arrive on time.
What’s one thing you couldn’t do your job without?
Spell check, I’m horribule at spellang and grandmar. 🙂
What are you doing when not providing great service at Hughes Supply Statesville?
Spoiling my grandkids, I love being a grandfather and relish every moment with my grandchildren.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Help the needy, giving back has always been one of our family values.
Where is your favorite vacation destination?
The Caribbean, we go as often as possible.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever given or received?
The Golden Rule. “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12).
Do you support a charity or nonprofit, what is it and why?
Yes, we support numerous 3rd world countries through our church.
Who is your hero and why?
My Elders, they paved the way for me to be a good person and pass that to my children and grandchildren.
What sports teams do you root for?
All things NC State, the Miami Dolphins football, and the Cincinnati Reds baseball club.
